Quad/Graphics has announced plans to open a new 100,000-square-foot packaging manufacturing plant in Salt Lake City, Utah, expected to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2026. The facility will complement existing packaging operations in Spartanburg, South Carolina; Franklin, Wisconsin; and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Existing Operations
The company currently operates packaging facilities in:
- Spartanburg, South Carolina
- Franklin, Wisconsin
- Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
New Facility Details
The 100,000 ft² Salt Lake City factory is expected to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2026. The site offers access to key interstate highways, which the company says will support fast distribution to major markets across the region.
The new factory will start with existing customer volume and capacity commitments from brands based in the western United States. It will provide end-to-end packaging services and will be equipped with:
- A Heidelberg XL 106 press with UV capabilities
- A sheeter
- Die cutters
- Folding gluers
Executive Commentary
Joel Quadracci, Quad chairman and CEO, stated:
