SportsGerman Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln has completed the signing of 18-year-old winger Reigan Heskey from Manchester City for a transfer fee of around 2 million euros. Heskey, whose father is former England international Emile Heskey, has signed a contract with Cologne until 2031. The deal was first reported by Sky, and Heskey has already undergone his medical in Cologne. He had a contract with Manchester City until 2027 but chose not to extend it. Cologne's sports boss Thomas Kessler secured the transfer despite interest from other Bundesliga clubs and international sides like Benfica Lisbon. The move was facilitated by Cologne's good relationship with Manchester City, following the permanent signing of City defender Jahmai Simpson-Pusey, who reportedly convinced Heskey to join. Heskey is expected to be a first-team player, providing energy on the wings for the upcoming season.
