FinanceSaab has signed a contract with German naval defense company TKMS to deliver and integrate combat systems, composite structures, and sensors onto four of the German Navy's new MEKO A-200 DEU class frigates (F128). The order is valued at approximately SEK 8.7 billion, with deliveries scheduled between 2029 and 2032. The contract includes an option for additional frigates. Saab will provide composite superstructures, 9LV Combat Systems including Fire Control and Combat Management Systems, long-range surveillance radar Sea Giraffe 4A Fixed Face, lightweight multi-mission radar Sea Giraffe 1X, and passive sensors. The deal aims to enhance the German Navy's anti-air, anti-submarine, and anti-surface warfare capabilities.
