SportsAccording to Turkish media outlet A Spor and journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, free agent Mohamed Salah is close to signing with Turkish Süper Lig club Besiktas. The 34-year-old Egyptian winger, who left Liverpool after the 2026 World Cup, has prioritized staying in Europe over lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia and MLS. Besiktas president is personally leading negotiations, and Salah's lawyer has been in Istanbul for talks. The proposed deal is a one-season contract with an option for an additional year, with an annual salary of €12 million. Salah initially demanded €15M but reduced his demands to facilitate the agreement. Additional discussions include a percentage of jersey sales for the player. Besiktas board member Ahmet Çağlar signaled the deal by posting #Salah on Instagram.
