FinanceUber is close to acquiring German food delivery company Delivery Hero in a deal valued at approximately €12.5 billion ($14.34 billion), according to the Financial Times. Delivery Hero confirmed it is in advanced negotiations with Uber. The deal would expand Uber Eats' network across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America but may face antitrust scrutiny due to operational overlaps. To mitigate regulatory concerns, Delivery Hero plans to sell its Turkish unit Yemeksepeti and several European operations to an investment firm. The deal could be announced as early as Thursday, with Uber offering roughly €41 per share. Terms remain subject to change. Uber had previously approached Delivery Hero in May with a €38 per share offer that was deemed too low by investors.
