Inter Milan open transfer talks for Tottenham's Djed Spence, Spurs demand €35 million

According to renowned journalist Matteo Moretto, Inter Milan has opened transfer negotiations with Tottenham Hotspur for English full-back Djed Spence. The 25-year-old, who previously played on loan at Genoa during the 2023/24 season, is Inter's primary target to strengthen their wing defense after the failed transfer of Israeli defender Haralei due to a failed medical. Inter president Marotta and sporting director Ausilio had already included Spence on their shortlist, and coach Chivu values his versatility to play on both flanks. Tottenham has set a €35 million price tag, €10 million higher than the fee Inter agreed for Haralei, but Inter remains undeterred. Negotiations are ongoing but have slowed partly due to Spence's participation in the World Cup in North America. Spence is open to leaving Tottenham, where Spanish right-back Porro has secured the starting role and recently renewed his contract until 2031, further diminishing Spence's prospects.
