Verstappen denies exit rumors, says he will honor Red Bull contract through 2028

The Dutchman's agent also dismissed speculation about a potential move to McLaren.

Last week was marked by several rumors in the Formula 1 world, including McLaren's reported interest in Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri, as well as other paddock gossip. However, ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix, both Verstappen and his agent have firmly denied all speculation about the driver's future.

Verstappen: "If There's News, I'll Announce It"

In an interview with F1 channels, the four-time world champion was concise but clear in his intention to remain with Red Bull.

"There's nothing to say. I've said many times that if there's any news, I'll announce it myself."

Verstappen thus dismissed rumors of a move to England next season.

Agent Refutes McLaren Speculation

Raymond Vermeulen also rejected all talk of a switch to McLaren.

"A lot has been 'written,' but the reality is that he wants to finish his stint at Red Bull. He has a contract until 2028 and intends to fulfill it to the end."

Vermeulen made the comments to Austrian television channel OE24.

Verstappen on Season Struggles

Although a move to the British team is ruled out, Verstappen addressed his feelings about a season marked by problems with the RB22.

"Yes, sometimes I get a bit disappointed or upset after a race, but, for example, after Silverstone, I went back to the factory and started preparing for the following weekend. That's how I've been working all these years."
