FinanceSaab has signed a contract with German naval defense company TKMS to deliver and integrate combat systems, composite structures, and sensors onto four of the German Navy's new MEKO A-200 DEU class frigates (F128). The order is valued at approximately SEK 8.7 billion, with deliveries scheduled between 2029 and 2032. The contract includes an option for additional frigates. Saab will provide composite superstructures, 9LV Combat Systems including Fire Control and Combat Management Systems, and sensors such as the Sea Giraffe 4A Fixed Face long-range surveillance radar and Sea Giraffe 1X lightweight multi-mission radar. The equipment aims to enhance the German Navy's anti-air, anti-submarine, and anti-surface warfare capabilities.
