Wrexham's Zak Vyner excited to experience club's US popularity first-hand
Wrexham defender Zak Vyner is looking forward to witnessing the club's immense popularity in the United States during their pre-season tour. The Championship side, owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, has gained a massive global following thanks to the 'Welcome to Wrexham' documentary. Vyner, who joined from Bristol City in January, has been impressed by fan support on social media and during European friendlies, but teammates say the US reception is even bigger. Wrexham will face Leeds United in Tampa, Liverpool in New York, and Sunderland in Philadelphia. Vyner, 29, is fully fit after groin and toe injuries and aims to make an impression on the tour to secure his place for the upcoming Championship season.
