Vizela signs Ecuadorian left-back Alfred Caicedo from Genk
Portuguese football club Vizela has officially announced the signing of 21-year-old Ecuadorian left-back Alfred Caicedo. The player, an under-20 international for Ecuador, previously belonged to Belgian club Genk and spent last season on loan at Spanish side Cádiz, where he played 15 matches. Caicedo signed a two-year contract with an additional option year. In his introductory statements, he described himself as strong in one-on-one situations, supportive of the attack, and gritty. He was trained at Aucas in Ecuador, made his senior debut at age 16, and was scouted by Genk during a tournament in Brazil. Caicedo expressed happiness with the project presented by Vizela and his desire to help the club achieve its goals.
