Umar Sadiq Out of Valencia's Preseason in England Due to Hamstring Injury
Valencia striker Umar Sadiq has suffered a hamstring muscle problem that will prevent him from traveling with the squad to England for their preseason training camp at St. George's Park. The Nigerian forward experienced discomfort following a friendly match against Castellón, in which he was also sent off. The injury was confirmed by COPE Valencia, though the club has not yet released an official medical report. Depending on the severity—whether it is a minor muscle tear—Sadiq's availability for the first La Liga match against Celta on August 22 at Mestalla could be at risk. Valencia will remain in England until August 1, with friendlies scheduled against Derby County and Stoke City. Right-back Dimitri Foulquier, also injured, will not travel either and will continue recovery in Paterna alongside other injured players.
