Valencia striker Umar Sadiq has suffered a hamstring muscle problem that will prevent him from traveling with the squad to England for their preseason training camp at St. George's Park. The Nigerian forward experienced discomfort following a friendly match against Castellón, in which he was also sent off. The injury was confirmed by COPE Valencia, though the club has not yet released an official medical report. Depending on the severity—whether it is a minor muscle tear—Sadiq's availability for the first La Liga match against Celta on August 22 at Mestalla could be at risk. Valencia will remain in England until August 1, with friendlies scheduled against Derby County and Stoke City. Right-back Dimitri Foulquier, also injured, will not travel either and will continue recovery in Paterna alongside other injured players.

Injury Forces Sadiq to Stay Behind
Valencia will be without Umar Sadiq during the team's preseason training camp in England, which begins this Monday. The Nigerian striker is suffering from muscle problems in his hamstrings, which will prevent him from traveling with the rest of the squad and continuing normal preparation.
Sadiq did not train normally in the session prior to the team's departure to St. George's Park after experiencing physical discomfort following the friendly match against Castellón. Notably, the striker was sent off at the end of that match following a strong two-footed tackle.
Setback for Corberán
The absence of the striker from this trip—confirmed by COPE Valencia—represents a setback for head coach Carlos Corberán at a crucial stage of preseason preparations.
For now, the club has not yet confirmed the injury with a medical report. Depending on whether it is a minor muscle tear, the striker's presence in the first league match—scheduled for August 22 against Celta at Mestalla—could be in jeopardy. The first matchday was postponed at Betis's request.
Preseason Schedule in England
Valencia will remain in England until August 1, with the following planned activities:
- Friendly matches:
- Derby County (behind closed doors, two 60-minute halves)
- Stoke City
- Training sessions focused on improving tactical and physical aspects before the start of LaLiga.
Other Absentees
Although Valencia has not released an official list of players called up for the England trip, the club has also decided that injured right-back Dimitri Foulquier will not travel. He will continue his recovery in Paterna alongside other injured players: Alberto Marí, Canós, Diego López, and Copete.
