Ukraine Air Defense Neutralizes 41 Missiles and 652 Drones in Massive Overnight Attack

Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted or suppressed a significant portion of a large-scale Russian aerial assault launched on the evening of May 13, 2026. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the attack involved a combined strike of attack drones and both air- and ground-launched missiles, with Kyiv identified as the primary target. Radar units tracked a total of 731 aerial threats, comprising 56 missiles and 675 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Despite the high interception rate, debris from downed assets and successful hits caused damage at 24 locations, with additional debris falling at 18 other sites. The assault followed an earlier daytime drone attack involving nearly 800 UAVs.
