Concurrently, reports indicate the renovation cost has skyrocketed to $13.1 million, more than seven times the initial $1.8 million estimate. The contract was awarded without bidding to Atlantic Industrial Coatings, a firm previously employed at Trump’s Virginia golf club, citing urgent deadlines for the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations.
