Transfer: Former PSG Prospect Ismaël Gharbi Loaned to Leganés in Spanish Second Division
Ismaël Gharbi, a 22-year-old Tunisian international and former Paris Saint-Germain academy player, has been loaned to CD Leganés in the Spanish Second Division for the current season. The loan includes a purchase option. Gharbi, who is under contract with Portuguese club SC Braga, has had a varied career: after failing to establish himself at PSG (2016-2024), he was loaned to Lausanne, then transferred to Braga, where he scored four goals in 38 appearances. A subsequent loan to Bundesliga side Augsburg was less successful, with only seven appearances and no goals. Gharbi, born in Paris to a Tunisian father and Spanish mother, has represented France and Spain at youth levels before choosing Tunisia. He played for Tunisia at the 2025 World Cup, where they were eliminated in the group stage. Leganés finished 16th in the Segunda División last season.
