TAC InfoSec to Acquire Israel-Based B2C Cybersecurity Firm Safehouse Technologies
TAC InfoSec Limited, an Indian global cybersecurity company, announced its acquisition of 100% of Israel-based Safehouse Technologies Ltd., marking a strategic entry into the consumer cybersecurity (B2C) market. Safehouse's flagship app has over 1 million downloads and a 4.2-star rating on Google Play, offering VPN, encrypted browsing, threat blocking, and phishing alerts. The acquisition includes Safehouse's intellectual property and will make it a wholly owned subsidiary of TAC. The move responds to rising global cybercrime, with FBI data showing $16 billion in losses in 2024 and Cybersecurity Ventures estimating $10.5 trillion in annual costs by 2025. TAC CEO Trishneet Arora emphasized the need for consumer protection as threats shift from enterprises to individuals. Safehouse co-founder Liad Herman expressed confidence in the partnership to scale the platform globally.
