Swiss Midfielder Remo Freuler Nears Move to Saudi Club NEOM

Remo Freuler, the 34-year-old Swiss international midfielder who started all of Switzerland's World Cup matches alongside Granit Xhaka, is on the verge of joining Saudi Arabian club NEOM. Freuler is a free agent after his contract with Bologna expired, having played 40 matches for the Italian club last season. He was also courted by AS Roma and Juventus. NEOM, coached by Christophe Galtier, is also set to sign defender Malang Sarr. The transfer appears imminent as the two parties are close to reaching an agreement.
