Flights to Madrid from Kunming and Jinan rose eightfold, while searches for Málaga increased more than tenfold. Interest in the Canary Islands also spiked, with Tenerife flight searches up 19 times week-over-week. The report attributes the spike to the sporting achievement, increased direct air connections between China and Spain, and the peak summer travel season. Despite Argentina's loss, searches for flights from Guangzhou to Buenos Aires also rose 6.5 times.
