Samsung Launches Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Z Fold 8, and Z Flip 8 in India
Samsung launched its eighth-generation foldable smartphones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Z Fold 8, and Z Flip 8, in India on July 22, 2026. This marks the first introduction of an Ultra variant in Samsung's foldable lineup. The devices run on One UI 9 based on Android 17 and come with 7 years of OS and security updates. Samsung noted that Indian users are increasingly using foldables for content consumption, AI-enhanced productivity, and camera features. The phones feature a flex titanium plate design. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra boasts an 8-inch main display, 200 MP main camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, and up to 16 GB RAM. The Z Fold 8 has a 7.6-inch display and 50 MP main camera, while the Z Flip 8 features a 6.9-inch display and Exynos 2600 processor. Additionally, Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Watch 9, both powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite processors.
