Ruben Amorim sees comeback result in first game back in management
Ruben Amorim returned to football management with AC Milan in July 2026 after being sacked by Manchester United in January 2026. The Portuguese coach had a 40% win rate in 63 matches at United and was dismissed following controversial media comments. After taking time off, he was hired by AC Milan in June 2026. In his first friendly match, Milan came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 against Celtic in Glasgow. 18-year-old striker Francesco Camarda scored both goals after coming on at halftime. Amorim deployed his preferred 3-4-3 formation. The result is seen as a solid start for his return to football, with hopes for a successful Serie A campaign.
