Roma Monitoring Benfica Winger Andreas Schjelderup Alongside Garnacho and Moreira
Italian Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that AS Roma is actively searching for attacking reinforcements under new coach Gian Piero Gasperini. Sporting director Tony D'Amico stated he expects to bring in two forwards. While pursuing Mason Greenwood (currently at Fenerbahçe) without a formal offer to Marseille, waiting for West Ham's response on Summerville, and monitoring Alejandro Garnacho and Rodrigo Moreira, Roma has added Benfica winger Andreas Schjelderup to their list of targets. The 2004-born left-sided attacker impressed at the recent World Cup with one goal and three assists. Schjelderup previously spent a season under José Mourinho, making 43 appearances with 10 goals and 7 assists. He was already on Roma's radar during the winter transfer window. However, after scoring a brace against Real Madrid in the Champions League, Benfica decided to offer him a formal contract with a potential extension, complicating a potential move.
