Charlton Athletic sign Ashleigh Neville from Leicester City on two-year deal
Charlton Athletic have signed full-back Ashleigh Neville from Leicester City on a two-year contract. The 33-year-old, who has made over 100 Women's Super League appearances, reunites with manager Karen Hills, having previously worked with her at Tottenham. Neville expressed excitement about the move and her role in bringing WSL experience to newly-promoted Charlton. She joined Leicester in January but the club was relegated after losing to Charlton in a play-off. A fee was likely paid by Charlton as no release clause existed. Separately, Leicester signed Republic of Ireland international Jessie Stapleton from West Ham on a three-year deal.
