PSG Integrates Young Players into Training Amid International Absences
Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique has brought up numerous young players to first-team training sessions over the past two days due to a shortage of established players. Only nine senior players not involved in the World Cup—Chevalier, Safonov, Kvaratskhelia, Mayulu, Ndjantou, Beraldo, Zabarnyi, Dro, and Longoni—have returned to training. To enable small-sided games, Enrique called up academy regulars like Dimitri Lucea and David Boly, as well as less familiar faces including newly signed professional winger Adam Ayari, Tunisian striker Khalil Ayari (21), and very young prospects such as 17-year-old striker Mamadou Meité, 17-year-old midfielder Paul Bourdin, and 16-year-old defender Axel Koukaba.
