Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique has brought up numerous young players to first-team training sessions over the past two days due to a shortage of established players. Only nine senior players not involved in the World Cup—Chevalier, Safonov, Kvaratskhelia, Mayulu, Ndjantou, Beraldo, Zabarnyi, Dro, and Longoni—have returned to training. To enable small-sided games, Enrique called up academy regulars like Dimitri Lucea and David Boly, as well as less familiar faces including newly signed professional winger Adam Ayari, Tunisian striker Khalil Ayari (21), and very young prospects such as 17-year-old striker Mamadou Meité, 17-year-old midfielder Paul Bourdin, and 16-year-old defender Axel Koukaba.

As is routine for major European clubs, the post-major competition period sees late returns for many international players. At Paris Saint-Germain, nine players not involved in the World Cup have already returned to training for three days:
- Chevalier
- Safonov
- Kvaratskhelia
- Mayulu
- Ndjantou
- Beraldo
- Zabarnyi
- Dro
- Longoni
To complete his squad and allow for small-sided games, head coach Luis Enrique has called up several young players.
Regular Faces and Newcomers
The group includes "regulars" such as Dimitri Lucea and David Boly, as well as players seen in recent sessions — Rayan Abo El Nay and Abdou Fanne Drame — alongside faces unfamiliar to the general public.
Winger Adam Ayari, who has just signed his first professional contract, is among them, as is Tunisian striker Khalil Ayari (21). The Spanish coach has also drawn from a pool of very young players, including:
- Mamadou Meité — striker, 17, last season's revelation
- Paul Bourdin — midfielder, 17
- Axel Koukaba — defender, 16
