President Tinubu Arrives in Rwanda for Africa CEO Forum
Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, to attend the 2026 Africa CEO Forum, a major gathering aimed at promoting continental investment. Upon landing at Kigali International Airport, he was received by Rwandan President Paul Kagame and senior officials, followed by bilateral discussions between the two leaders. The forum, themed 'Scale or Fail: Why Africa must embrace shared ownership,' is scheduled for May 14–15 at the Kigali Convention Centre and expects over 2,000 CEOs, investors, policymakers, and six African heads of state. Presidential aide Sunday Dare stated that Tinubu’s participation underscores Nigeria’s commitment to economic reforms and positioning the country as a prime investment destination. This visit is part of a three-nation tour that began in France and included the Africa–France Summit in Nairobi, Kenya. After the Rwanda engagements, President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria ahead of the APC presidential primary on May 23. The event serves as a strategic platform for Nigeria to present its economic propositions to global and continental stakeholders.
