Police Search Homes of Seven Teenagers Over Racist Insult at School in Holzkirchen
Following a racially motivated incident at a school in Holzkirchen, Germany, police searched the apartments of seven teenagers aged 15 to 17. The investigation began on July 2 when a student's parents reported that their child was insulted by classmates because of skin color. Electronic devices, mobile phones, and storage media were confiscated from the suspects' homes. During the investigation, evidence of further politically motivated right-wing crimes emerged, leading the State Security Department of the Rosenheim Criminal Police Inspectorate to take over, under the direction of the Munich II Public Prosecutor's Office. By order of the Munich District Court, officers searched apartments in the districts of Munich and Miesbach on Wednesday, with assistance from a service dog handler. The seized devices will be analyzed by IT forensic experts. The investigation focuses on suspicion of using symbols of unconstitutional and terrorist organizations, among other possible violations.
