PFI leader Muhammadali K.P. arrested in RSS activist Sreenivasan murder case remanded to custody
Muhammadali K.P., the Palakkad district president of the banned Popular Front of India (PFI), was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) at Delhi's IGI Airport upon arrival from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he had been hiding for four years. He was produced before Special Judge P.K. Mohandas in Kochi and remanded to 15 days of judicial custody. Muhammadali is accused of conspiracy and harboring the murderers of RSS activist Sreenivasan, who was killed in Palakkad, Kerala, in April 2022. The NIA had declared a ₹3 lakh reward and issued an Interpol Red Notice for his arrest. So far, 67 accused have been arrested in the case, which the NIA alleges was part of a PFI conspiracy to establish Islamic rule in India by 2047 through violent extremism.
