Mother Stabs Son's Ex-Partner in Frankfurt; Son Arrested with Weapon
A 70-year-old German woman attacked her son's 37-year-old ex-partner with a knife at the Eiserner Steg in Frankfurt, causing superficial cuts to the victim's neck and face. The victim had previously obtained court-ordered contact and approach bans against both the suspect and her 47-year-old son. The attacker had been following the victim in the city center before the assault. Bystanders subdued the woman until police arrived. Separately, the son was arrested shortly before midnight on Monday while driving toward his ex-partner's apartment, carrying a loaded firearm, ammunition, and a knife. Both suspects are in pre-trial detention. Arrest warrants were issued for attempted joint murder and dangerous bodily harm.
