MetaOptics to Deploy Direct Laser Writer at University of Arizona for U.S. Expansion
MetaOptics Ltd, a Singapore-based semiconductor optics company, announced an agreement to deploy its key metalens Direct Laser Writer (DLW) system at the University of Arizona's Center of Semiconductor Manufacturing. This deployment is a critical step in the company's U.S. expansion strategy, enabling quick prototyping and small-volume production of metalens samples. The DLW will support collaborative research under Dr. Krishna Muralidharan and serve as a demonstration site for prospective U.S. customers, distributors, and institutions. MetaOptics aims to leverage Arizona's semiconductor ecosystem to deepen engagement with industry partners and end customers. Installation is expected to begin in 2027.
