McDonald's Hires Nike Veteran Ugwechi Amadi as Chief Strategy Officer
McDonald's has appointed Ugwechi Amadi as its new Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, effective July 2026. Amadi, a former Nike executive and most recently Executive Vice President at LIV Golf, succeeds Emily Reasor, who moved to manage the New Zealand market. McDonald's CFO Ian Borden announced the hire on LinkedIn, stating Amadi will help execute the company's NEXT strategy, which focuses on improving hospitality, food quality, restaurant redesigns, and tech innovations. Amadi brings experience in strategy, transformation, and business leadership from her roles at Nike and The Boston Consulting Group. This hire is part of a broader executive reshuffle at McDonald's in 2026, including a new Chief Development Officer and a US Chief Operating Officer.
