Lukasz Fabianski Retires from Football at Age 41
Polish goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 41. The announcement was made via a social media post on Saturday, where he expressed gratitude to coaches, teammates, and family. Fabianski began his career at Lech Poznan in 2004/05, later moving to Legia Warsaw, Arsenal, Swansea City, and West Ham United. At West Ham, he was coached by Portuguese manager Nuno Espírito Santo during the 2025/26 season. Over his career, he played 516 official matches, including 58 for the Polish national team. He won three major titles: the Polish league with Legia Warsaw (2005/06), the FA Cup with Arsenal (2013/14), and the Europa Conference League with West Ham (2022/23).
