Lord of the Rings season 3 teaser: Simon Pegg joins cast as Middle-earth goes to war
The teaser for Season 3 of 'Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con on July 24, 2026. Actor Simon Pegg has joined the cast, voicing the Balrog. New characters include Eddie Marsan as Thrain, Andrew Richardson as Anarion, and Adam Young as Marnûkh. The season is set five years after the fall of Eregion, with Sauron's armies marching across Middle-earth as he plans to forge the One Ring. The free peoples—Dwarves, Elves, Men, and Wizards—attempt to unite against him. The first four episodes premiere on November 11, 2026, with subsequent episodes releasing on November 18 and the final two on November 25. The show stars Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Owain Arthur, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Charlie Vickers, and Daniel Weyman, and is produced by showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay.
