At Least One Killed in Belgorod Region Amid Massive Ukrainian Drone Barrage

A large-scale Ukrainian drone attack on Russia resulted in at least one fatality in the Belgorod region, where a woman was killed after her minibus was struck near the village of Voznesenovka. Two men were injured in the same incident. The assault, described as one of the largest air barrages of the year, also heavily impacted the Bryansk region, injuring at least 13 people and damaging residential buildings and vehicles. In Moscow, authorities intercepted nearly 30 drones without reporting casualties, while industrial sites in Perm faced repeated attacks. Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed to have intercepted a total of 347 Ukrainian drones across the country and in annexed Crimea between Wednesday and Thursday. Concurrently, Ukraine reported Russian drone strikes on the Kharkiv region. These intensified mutual attacks occur ahead of Russia’s Victory Day celebrations, marking the Soviet victory in World War II. The escalation highlights the continuing volatility along the border regions and the strategic use of aerial drones by both sides in the ongoing conflict.
