The Kossuth Aggies secured their first-ever MHSAA Class 3A state softball championship by defeating West Marion 11-1 in Game 3 of the series. The victory took place at Southern Miss in Hattiesburg, marking a historic breakthrough for the program. Pitcher Chloe Clement delivered a standout performance, earning MVP honors after pitching a complete game that allowed only one run on three hits. Offensively, Clement contributed four hits and three RBIs. The Aggies demonstrated significant resilience throughout the tournament, having trailed at some point in every game of the championship series. After losing the opening game 3-0, Kossuth dominated the subsequent matches, outscoring West Marion 22-2 in Games 2 and 3, with both wins ending via the mercy rule.
