Jurgen Klopp given strict instruction about managing Germany days after making quit threat
New Germany boss Jurgen Klopp has been told by DFB sporting director Rudi Voller to model his team after world champions Spain, days after threatening to quit if media criticism becomes too intense. Voller praised Spain's style and criticized Argentina's cynical approach, saying 'I don't want a team that plays like Argentina.' Klopp, who took over after Julian Nagelsmann's resignation following Germany's World Cup exit, warned he will walk away if he faces the same scrutiny as previous coaches Nagelsmann and Tuchel. Germany has not won a knockout match at a major tournament in a decade.
