Judith Rakers Emotionally Hands Over Hamburg Farm to Successor
German TV presenter and former 'Tagesschau' anchor Judith Rakers has emotionally handed over her 'little farm' on the outskirts of Hamburg to a new owner, TV and radio presenter Lisa Kestel. In a video on Instagram, Rakers described it as a 'difficult day,' explaining that the house needs to be lived in and cared for. She had already relocated her main residence to the Baltic Sea island of Rügen last year, fulfilling a long-cherished dream. Rakers said she fell in love with the island in 2010 and now has a house, stable, and vegetable beds there. Since leaving 'Tagesschau' in January 2024, she has focused on her 'Homefarming' books and entrepreneurial activities. Kestel promised Rakers she would 'always be welcome' at the farm.
