Influencer sells 2 Ferraris to buy Bitcoin dip
Social media influencer and crypto investor Carl Runefelt, known online as 'The Moon,' sold two Ferraris worth a total of $2.5 million to buy Bitcoin during a price dip. Runefelt, who claims he dropped out of high school and worked as a supermarket cashier before investing in Bitcoin, revealed the move on his podcast 'The Moon Show' on July 24, 2026. He cited Bitcoin's 200-week moving average as a 'most reliable' signal, noting historical instances where Bitcoin surged after trading near this level, such as during the March 2020 pandemic crash when Bitcoin fell below $4,000 before reaching $64,860 in April 2021. Runefelt said he placed multiple limit orders to build an average entry price, but warned against highly leveraged positions as Bitcoin could decline further before rebounding. At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading at $64,410.
