iFood Reports 3.85 Million World Cup Sticker Sales in 15 Days
Brazilian delivery platform iFood announced the sale of 3.85 million Panini World Cup sticker albums and packs within just 15 days of their launch on April 30, 2026. This figure represents a significant surge of over 1,500% compared to the 252,000 orders processed during the entire 2022 World Cup campaign. The initiative highlights iFood's strategy as an official sponsor of the Brazilian national team, leveraging cross-selling opportunities where 13.1% of sticker purchases included other products. Geographically, São Paulo state accounted for more than half of all transactions, with the capital city alone responsible for nearly 25% of national sales. Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, and Rio Grande do Sul followed as key markets. The 2026 World Cup album is noted as the largest produced by Panini to date, featuring 980 stickers to accommodate the expanded 48-team tournament format. To meet this demand, Panini’s factory in Barueri, São Paulo, is operating at high capacity, printing at least 11 million stickers daily. The campaign has also driven increased online search interest for convenience and delivery brands, according to media intelligence firm Tunad.
