Grant-Leon Ranos leaves Borussia Mönchengladbach for CD Tenerife
Grant-Leon Ranos, a 22-year-old Armenian international striker, is leaving Borussia Mönchengladbach after three unsuccessful years to join Spanish second-division side CD Tenerife. Ranos moved from Bayern Munich's second team to Gladbach in 2023 with high expectations, having already earned 26 caps and scored five goals for Armenia. However, he failed to establish himself in the Bundesliga, making only 19 appearances without a single start and scoring just one goal. His loan spells at 1. FC Kaiserslautern and Eintracht Braunschweig in the 2. Bundesliga also yielded no goals. Gladbach's sports director Rouven Schröder stated the club made a consistent decision to let him go, wishing him well for a fresh start. Ranos had been released from training to find a new club. His only success came with Gladbach's U23 team in the Regionalliga, where he scored eight goals and provided ten assists in 17 games.
