Grant-Leon Ranos leaves Borussia Mönchengladbach for CD Tenerife
Grant-Leon Ranos (22) has ended his three-year stint at Borussia Mönchengladbach, moving to Spanish second-division side CD Tenerife. The Armenian international arrived from Bayern Munich's second team in 2023 with high expectations but failed to establish himself, making only 19 Bundesliga appearances without a single start and scoring just one goal. His loan spells at 1. FC Kaiserslautern and Eintracht Braunschweig were also goalless. Ranos had some success with Gladbach's U23 team in the Regionalliga, scoring eight goals and providing ten assists in 17 games. Borussia's sports director Rouven Schröder stated the club wanted a consistent decision after Ranos couldn't break into the professional squad, wishing him well for a fresh start in Spain. The transfer occurs one year before his contract was set to expire.
