Google has announced the Googlebook, a new line of laptops designed to unify Android and ChromeOS into a single, AI-centric operating system. A key innovation is the Magic Pointer, which allows users to hover over screen elements to trigger contextual AI actions, such as scheduling meetings from emails. Additional features include Cast My Apps for streaming Android apps without installation and Create My Widget for generating personalized desktop panels via natural language. Hardware partners Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo will launch the first models in the second half of 2025, distinguished by a signature Glowbar LED.
