German Teenager Charged with Terrorism for Alleged Synagogue Attack Plot
The Munich Public Prosecutor General's Office has filed terrorism charges against a 15-year-old German boy from the Augsburg area. The teenager is accused of sympathizing with the Islamic State (ISIS) and planning an attack on a synagogue using pyrotechnic materials. In late October 2025, he allegedly caused an explosion with a tennis ball-sized ball bomb, blowing off two of his own fingers and damaging his hearing and sight; a friend was also slightly injured.
