FIFA Clearing House Distributes Nearly $1 Billion in Training Rewards to Clubs Worldwide
FIFA announced that since the launch of the FIFA Clearing House in November 2022, clubs worldwide have received nearly $1 billion in training rewards. The call-ups of 530 players for the 2026 World Cup triggered $221 million in training compensation and solidarity contributions, benefiting clubs from 46 of the 48 participating teams. Additionally, transfers of 10,422 non-World Cup players generated $768 million. Over $639 million has been successfully distributed through the Paris-based entity. FIFA President Gianni Infantino highlighted the system's role in enhancing financial transparency and rewarding youth development. Key countries benefiting include Spain, Argentina, Croatia, and the Netherlands. The top 10 players alone brought $34.3 million to their training clubs, with 63% of compensation going to clubs in players' home countries.
