EUFOR and NATO Reaffirm Cooperation for Stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina
On May 15, Ambassador Kevin Hamilton, the NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, met with Major General Maurizio Fronda, the Commander of the European Union Force (EUFOR) in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The discussion focused on the current regional security environment and EUFOR's continued role in supporting stability within the country. Major General Fronda highlighted the effective collaboration between the European Union and NATO under the Berlin Plus Arrangements, emphasizing their complementary efforts to support domestic institutions. He stated that the close cooperation between EUFOR and NATO Headquarters Sarajevo is vital for maintaining peace and ensuring a secure environment for all citizens. The meeting served to reaffirm the strong partnership, information sharing, and joint engagement between the two organizations.
