ETV to Broadcast Eurovision 2026 Grand Final Despite Estonia's Non-Qualification
Estonian Public Broadcasting (ERR) announces that ETV will broadcast the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 grand final live from Vienna on Saturday, May 16, starting at 10 p.m. local time. Although Estonia failed to qualify for the finals after Vanilla Ninja's unsuccessful semifinal performance, Estonian juries will still participate in the voting process alongside other non-qualifying nations. The final features twenty-five competing entries, including host nation Austria and the 'big four' countries. Notably, five nations—Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Iceland, and Slovenia—are boycotting the contest in protest of Israel's inclusion. The event will feature interval acts comprising former winners, such as Finland's Lordi, and an opening performance by last year's winner, JJ. The running order includes participants from Denmark, Germany, Israel, and others, concluding with host entry Cosmó from Austria. This coverage allows Estonian viewers to follow the international music competition despite the absence of a local finalist, maintaining the country's engagement with the European Broadcasting Union event.
