Erzurum City Hospital Emerges as Regional Healthcare Hub with Advanced Robotic Surgery

Erzurum City Hospital, a massive 1,670-bed facility opened in 2020 under Turkey's city hospitals project, has become a major healthcare attraction for Eastern Anatolia and neighboring countries. The hospital serves approximately 14 million patients over six years, with 45 percent of outpatient visits coming from outside Erzurum province. It attracts international patients from Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, and Iran, particularly for surgical interventions. Distinguished by its state-of-the-art infrastructure, the hospital features 1248 seismic isolators for earthquake resilience and is the only facility between Ankara and the East offering robotic surgery across multiple specialties.
