Eight Ukrainian Newsrooms Defy Court Ban to Publish Corruption Probe on Official's Brother
Eight Ukrainian media outlets, including Ukrainska Pravda and Dzerkalo Tyzhnia, jointly published an investigative report that a Kyiv court had temporarily banned, marking an unprecedented show of solidarity against censorship. The developer, Parkovyi-2 LLC, obtained an interim injunction from Judge Serhii Vovk to block publication, arguing irreparable harm. The investigation also notes that police and prosecutors investigated the developer in 2021 but closed the case without charges after the State Bureau of Investigation, now led by Sukhachov's brother, took over. The journalists describe the court ban as a dangerous precedent and an attack on freedom of expression.
