Cyclops raises $20 million to help payment companies settle faster with stablecoins
Miami-based startup Cyclops announced a $20 million Series A funding round led by Nava Ventures, with participation from Castle Island Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Circle, Lasagna Ventures, and GPT Ventures. The company provides an all-in-one infrastructure platform that bundles crypto and stablecoin services, enabling payment providers to offer faster settlement and cross-border transactions without building their own tooling. Cyclops was founded by Alex Wilson, Pat Duffy, and David Johnson, who previously co-founded the Giving Block, a crypto donation platform for charities. The new funding follows an $8 million seed round in March 2026. Cyclops has offices in Miami and Vienna, Austria, and counts Shift4 Payments and Mastercard among its clients. The article notes that stablecoin market capitalization has grown 137% since 2024 to nearly $310 billion, and that the GENIUS Act signed by President Trump in July 2025 created a regulatory framework for U.S. dollar-backed stablecoins.
