US Coast Guard Seizes Sailboat in Lynette Hooker Disappearance Probe

The U.S. Coast Guard has seized the sailboat named "Soulmate," which was used by Brian and Lynette Hooker during their travels in the Bahamas, as part of an intensifying criminal investigation into Lynette's disappearance. According to sources, the vessel was taken into custody approximately 40 nautical miles off Melbourne, Florida, while en route from Marsh Harbour to the United States. Drone images confirmed the boat is currently docked at the Fort Pierce Coast Guard Station. Lynette Hooker, a mother from Michigan, was last seen on April 4 near Aunt Pat's Bay in the Bahamas. Her husband, Brian Hooker, reported that she fell overboard during a nighttime dinghy ride but has denied any wrongdoing. Although he was held for questioning by Bahamian authorities for five days, he was released without charges and subsequently traveled to the U.S. His current whereabouts remain unknown. The Coast Guard Investigative Service is actively interviewing potential witnesses, including occupants of another nearby vessel. Lynette’s daughter, Karli Aylesworth, expressed her grief in a Mother's Day message, noting the lack of updates from investigators regarding the seizure of the family boat.
