Chelsea's Estevao Ruled Out of World Cup After Hamstring Tear

Chelsea FC has reached an agreement with Brazilian starlet Estevao regarding his recovery from a serious hamstring injury, confirming he will miss the remainder of the club's season and the upcoming World Cup with Brazil. The 19-year-old suffered a grade four tear during a match against Manchester United last month, marking his second hamstring issue since winter. Although he traveled to his native Brazil for treatment at former club Palmeiras, he was omitted from Carlo Ancelotti’s provisional 55-man squad for the tournament in North America. Chelsea’s interim head coach, Calum McFarlane, confirmed that Estevao remains in Brazil for rehabilitation and is not currently in London. McFarlane stated that while detailed recovery timelines are still being discussed, the player will definitely not be fit for the rest of the current campaign. The club and player have agreed on a non-surgical recovery plan. This setback interrupts what had been a promising debut season for Estevao at Stamford Bridge, where he showed significant potential before being hampered by recurring injuries.
